T-4: Today’s news and gossip Updated

There’s still time to enter the races. Please do it ASAP. Half Marathon and 10k entries close at Midnight on Saturday.

If you entered before the 24th August then you should have received your number. If there is a problem with your number not arriving. Let us know Thursday and we’ll arrange for a spare to be made available at the Help and Information Desk at the Rugby Club. Also if you entered after the 23rd August you must pick up your number from the same desk. Please don’t wait until the last minute to do this as there may be a queue and we don’t want you stressed before the race.

The Fun Run numbers are to be picked up from the Fun Run Desk which is also at the Rugby Club from our 2 DBS-checked ladies: Sam and Lindsay

As reported earlier; the Cheshire A Cappella choir will be encouraging you Half Marathon runners, with their beautiful sound as you pass through Mobberley village, so please give them a big smile and a clap of encouragement as you pass by.

Be careful preparing for your race and warm up sensibly. Lucy and Nikki are representing Running Bear. They’ll be doing a pre-race warm up on Kings road (at the Start) at 9.45am For the 10 O'clock runners. They will be elevated at the front of the Start line.

Lucy, who was on the West End stage version of Saturday Night Fever is going to lead the Running Bear warm up on the day. It won’t be as challenging as the one below, but it’s such a lovely video of Lucy doing the one of the show’s routines we thought we’d include it.

The 10k runners will also see them dancing and cheering at the turning point. Give them a cheer. 10k runners will be will be led around the course by cyclists to avoid you getting lost!! There will be a lead and tail rider.

Fun runners will have a lead bike too.

Fun runners will collect their running numbers from the Fun Race Desk at Race Headquarters, It will be manned by two DBS-checked helpers.

Watch out for Teddies at the Fun Runners prize giving! We are expecting that around 10.45 in the adjacent spectators field which is about 100m beyond the finish line.

Lastly, popping put of the clubhouse, I can see that the loos have begun to arrive!
