2026 Challenges
To enter a challenge, simply fill out your team’s information when registering for the race!
The Langricks Team Challenge is available for entry in both the Half Marathon and 10K races.
Grab your colleagues, friends or family assemble your team and enter the Team Challenge, the race runs alongside the main event but your challenge is to work collectively to cross the line with the top 3 quickest times to be crowned the Team Challenge Champions. Teams can have any number of members, the finishing team must be a mixed team including at least one male and one female in the counting three.

Ladies and Men’s teams in each event, 3 to count. 10K (Vouchers for £105), Half Marathon (Vouchers for £300)

The Maurice Minns Trophy
Maurice Minns was the Race Director of the Wilmslow Half Marathon for over 30 years. Over the years Maurice developed the race to become one of the UK’s leading half marathons which attracted elite runners such as Eamon Martin who went on to win the London Marathon, Jonny Mellor (2.08 marathon runner), alongside a number of overseas athletes.
The event has raised well over a million pounds, for charities, local community projects and runners charities, and stands as a fitting testament to Maurice’s vision and hard work.
Each year, in memory of Maurice, and as part of the Running Festival, the first male and female athletes in the Half Marathon with an SK9 post code will become the recipients of the "Maurice Minns" trophy.
