T-8: Parking worries?

It’s getting near the date. I hope you are feeling up for it. Worried about parking on the day? Don’t be you’ll find 100s of car parking spaces available in and around the Rugby Club, but there are a few simple actions on your part that will help everyone.

If you live locally, please leave your car at home.

  •  Car share with friends.

  •  Arrive before 8.20am and park at the Rugby Club or Waters Car Park (see below).

  •  Drop offs at the rugby club are NOT allowed. The turning point is Priory Road (off King’s Road).

  •  Don’t park illegally – the police will tow you away.

  •  Use the official parking as shown on the map opposite.

  •  Don’t park on Altrincham Road or Styal Road (emergency vehicles can’t get past).

  •  Please have your £3 fee ready as this speeds everything up.

  •  You will be directed to car parks by marshals at the top of Kings Road, or at the Waters car park on Altrincham Road.

Overflow car parks are also available in Wilmslow town centre... A standard fee may be payable. These are marked on the map and are between 15 and 20 minutes’ walk from the race start... It will provide you with a good warm up, and will be less busy!

Please check the race website (www.wilmslowrunningfestival.org.uk) during the week of the race for any change to parking. Adverse weather can affect the facilities used.
