Race Day -9: New Half Marathon Trophy announced

Shortly after last years marathon we lost our old Race Director Maurice Mimms.

Sadly he passed away on the 21st October 202.

Over the years Maurice developed the race to become one of the UK’s leading half marathons which attracted elite runners such as Eamon Martin who went on to win the London Marathon.

The event has raised over a million pounds, for charities, local community projects and runners charities, and stands as a fitting testament to Maurice’s vision and hard work.

We said we’d have new trophy in his honour.
