Spring is on it’s way and the weather looks fantastic for race day, sunny with a gentle breeze. So don’t forget your sun screen! It’s important to drink plenty and optimise hydration over the next couple of days as well as race morning. We have water stations throughout the course and water and energy drinks at the finish.

The water stations, in line with EA Guidelines, will be self-help. Take care with disposing them they can be a danger to other runners and spectators.

Toilets are available at race HQ and finish line.

Listen out for live entertainment from Retro Disco from Fallibroome Academy pre race! Silk FM will be in attendance on the day located at HQ and the finish line. We’ll also have entertainment on route from the Hullabaloo choir to help you sing and dance your way to a PB! Give them a cheer as you pass through Mobberley.

A course map can be found in the booklet, however please note the start line has been pulled back a short distance this year to enable a faster and safer finish on the road rather than Sandly Lane.

Once you’ve finished your race, make your way down Sandy Lane where you will be greeted with medals, drinks, Tribe Bars, toilets, first aid and refreshments including drinks, juices, coffee and ice creams.

Prize giving will follow for the winners post race.

Your safety is paramount to us. First aid is situated at various points along the course. Should you feel unwell during the race please let your nearest marshal know so we can arrange for medics to get to you as soon as possible. If you come across anyone injured or in distress, please report it to the nearest marshal who will be in contact with our event team and our first aid providers. First aid is also available at the start and finish area. We will have 300 marshals on the course and a medical provision from Mersey Medical pictured below to ensure you have an enjoyable and safe race.

After you’ve completed your event you can view your photographs here, which are free to download. Results will be available via Nifty Entries here. We’ll share both links on our social channels after the race and on the website.

Finally, a reminder to optimise hydration over the next couple of days and take on board extra fluids on race day.

On behalf of the Wilmslow Running Festival, wishing you all a fantastic weekend and best of luck on Sunday!
