Only 4 weeks to go to the big Festival Race Day.

I hope your training is going to plan. After showing you the results and the medals from the first three races I thought you’d like to see this nostalgic race photo.

It’s from the 1980’s and regular Wilmslow Half marathoners might be wondering where on the course it is!

Well, it’s Alderley Edge.

That’s right. The original race started and finished across the fields at the Rugby Club.

It went out into the countryside and passed: the 'Bird In Hand', Frozen Mop, and the David Lewis Centre. Then on through Nether Alderley, Alderley Edge, the Kings Arms Roundabout, Chapel Lane and finished on the Rugby Club Pitch.

Much different than today’s course.
